Brisbane Australia

A southern suburb of Brisbane located 17 kilometres from the CBD, Rochedale started out as a farming town and explorer thoroughfare in the 1800’s. These days it has retained its rural expansive charm, but most of the farmland is being converted into high-end residential estates that cater to affluent families, working professionals and retirees.

In the last 20 years the population has more than doubled to over 3000 people at the 2016 Census, and even more since then. As land becomes rarer prices have gone up, and the flourishing suburb of Rochedale has marked itself as one of Brisbane’s best investment opportunities. Estates such as Arise, Hydeberry, Rochedale Estates and others have set themselves apart as providers of well-thought-out services, high-quality homes and a fantastic community spirit. A wildlife corridor has also been set up with Priest Gully to preserve a country-esque feel, and a multitude of parks and green space have been developed, including picnic areas, dog off-leash areas, and exercise parks.

Rochdale Estates

The family vibe of Rochedale is nicely supported by the many quality education options in the area. Within a few kilometres you have Rochedale State School, Mansfield State High School, Redeemer Lutheran College and Rochedale State High School. There is also a whole bunch of sporting clubs, youth organisations and educational groups to provide a network of support as your kids grow up here.

When you think of how perfectly situated Rochedale is, it’s easy to see why the suburb has flourished:

  • 25 minute drive to Brisbane City
  • 45 minutes to the northern end of the Gold Coast
  • 10 minutes to Eight Mile Plains Shopping Centre
  • 15 minutes to Sunnybank Retail Precinct, Westfield Garden City and Westfield Carindale

There are also new and improved shopping centres popping up around Rochedale itself. Rochedale Village is a large-scale setup with a huge Coles supermarket, and is expected to be finished at the end of 2019. Rochedale Central is another handy spot to fill your grocery bags, and of course to visit Queensland Lifestyle Real Estate, the best agents in the area!

A number of bus stops provide accessibility to all local suburbs and major amenities. Brisbane council has also initiated a metro upgrade that will make the city commute on public transport a breeze.

Rochedale isn’t going to stop growing in size, and it isn’t going to stop growing in stature as a lifestyle and investment opportunity. For more information on here and the surrounding suburbs, contact one of our smiling team members today!
